These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of shorelineops.com (the "Site") and any free resources, content, or consultation booking functionality offered through the Site (collectively, the "Services"), provided by Shoreline Business Services ("Shoreline," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and business purposes. You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with normal operation, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
Reading content on this Site or downloading a template does not create a client relationship. A client relationship is created only when you sign a written engagement letter with Shoreline and we accept it.
Always consult a qualified bookkeeper, CPA, tax preparer, or attorney for advice specific to your situation before acting on any information you find on the Site.
Free templates we provide (including chart of accounts CSV files) are starting points designed to be reasonable defaults for the industries they are labeled for. Every business is different. You are responsible for reviewing, modifying, and validating any template before using it for your books or filings. We make no guarantee that any template will meet your specific tax, regulatory, or operational requirements.
If you engage Shoreline for bookkeeping, cleanup, catch-up, or other paid services, the scope, fees, deliverables, and obligations of each party will be defined in a separate written engagement letter. These Terms govern only your use of the public Site, not paid client work.
The free 15-minute consultation booked through the Site is a discovery conversation. It is not bookkeeping advice. We may decline to take on a prospective client for any reason.
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, the Shoreline name, and the design of templates, is owned by Shoreline or licensed to us. You may download our free templates and use them inside your own business. You may not redistribute, resell, or republish the templates or other Site content without our written permission.
The Site may link to third-party websites or services (including Calendly, QuickBooks, and others). We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those third parties. Use of those services is governed by their own terms.
The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shoreline and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or any content or template found on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Site (excluding paid client engagements, which are governed by their own engagement letter) will not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shoreline, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a revision means you accept the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
